AWAY is a short documentary film that shines a light on NYC's surfing subculture told through the unexpected stories of three female Rockaway Beach surfers.

The film explores what it is to have a deep commitment and profound passion for a sport, delving into the inherent joys and challenges of surfing itself and also of surfing in NYC.

The women bring a unique perspective to preconceived notions of the female surfing community, creating a compelling story that reveals their indomitable spirit and provides insight into the transformative impact of surfing on their lives.
