Great American Channels Rebrand

Great American Channels Rebrand
Brand Identity | Motion Design | Brand Guidelines
Worked with the team at Definition 6 to rebrand two Great American Channel (GAC) Media networks. Incorporating the existing logos, GAC Family (scripted) and GAC Living (unscripted) would focus on wholesome family and lifestyle programming, encompassing a welcoming, warm experience, with an emphasis on holidays and celebrations.

Each network had to be visually and tonally distinct while still feeling like part of the same family. There was also a holiday and non-holiday version for each network.

As art director on the project, I crafted an overall visual concept for the on-air branding, using circles as moving graphic elements that represent the notion of warmth, wholeness and togetherness, along with clean “friendly” typography. We worked with an animation team to create the motion language and finalize the on-air look for the channel brand as well as for promo.
Also included is an alternate, unselected network logo concept that I created.

The Brand Guidelines document shows each channel’s brand assets, on-air navigation, and promo assets.
